A superb example of a pair of period Louis XV carved walnut open arm antique chairs having very generous seats and beautifully ‘raked’ backs; two of the most elegant chairs of the period; upholstered in new silk. Provenance: Estate of Julius Openheimer founder of DeBeers Diamonds;  French circa 1750.
