Directoire Mahogany Antique Dining Chairs by Jacob, Paris France

A fine and rare set of six carved mahogany side antique chairs with formal written attribution to Jacob; (prepared by Daniel Franchi, Paris); This chair closely resembles a set of six illustrated in "Le Mobilier Francais du XVIII Siecle by Pierre Kjellberg, page 438; and a second set of six formerly owned by the Galerie Camoin, Paris.  All bearing their original chateau/retail labels. France circa 1785Directoire period.
